DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide onsite program management support to the Space Access Branch at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Rocket Propulsion Division (AFRL/RQR), Edwards AFB, CA. Lead and oversee the successful execution of aerospace development programs (specifically for Space Access systems) while interfacing with government, military, and contractors. The PM will play a crucial role in coordinating and driving the development process while working closely with engineering, development, and testing teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards. Technical Areas related to Space Access Branch duties can encompass Liquid Rocket Propulsion, Launch Vehicle Design, ground testing and launch operations, and mission integration.
The program manager will be responsible for the following:
- Program leadership
- Primary focal point for customers
- Continuously identify, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with team members and stake holders
- Development and maintain schedules
- Tracking Estimate at Completion (EAC), Risk Assessment, Program Plans, WBS, and Master Schedule, inefficiencies, mitigation strategies
- Program review briefings
- Develop and submit program reports
- Support and oversee design, test and flight campaigns for AFRL contracted efforts
