Financial Analyst

Sierra Lobo, Inc. offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

This is a full-time direct-hire position located at or near our Hoover Road facility in Milan, Ohio. 

Supports government contract generic business operations, including financial analysis related to government contract forecasts and planning.  Requires review and interpretation of government specifications related to contract task orders and proper implementation of forecasted costs.   Assess and process sub-contractor invoices on a monthly basis and reconcile all variances related to costs and forecasts.  Establish procurement requests for sub-contractor services in support of government requirements. Perform other duties as assigned within area of responsibility as directed by management.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Project/charge code set up
2. Employees timesheet set up
3. Financial cost analysis and reporting.
4. Review and process sub-contractor invoices.
5. Analyze, review and interpret government requirements and specifications for contract task order planning.
6. Support task order planning/pricing
7. Support business management operations, including preparing monthly accrual reports, task order financial performance reports and forecasts.
8. POC for sub-contractor forecasts and associated actual costs.

SUPERVISOR GUIDANCE

Works under direct supervision.

Bachelor degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field.

1. Minimum of four years’ experience in business, finance, accounting or related field.
2. Some accounting knowledge and process improvement knowledge is desired.
3. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) is desired.
4. Understanding of Cost and Schedule Control principles, practices, and Cost Accounting desired.
5. Knowledge and skills in Process Improvement techniques is desired.
6. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions from management.
7. Ability to employ sound judgment and decisions to promote continuity of workflow.
8. Must be self-motivated and a “Team Player” with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Must be able to organize time, assignments and properly prioritize workload for maximum efficiency
