Overview

The Human Resources Generalist will complete a variety of tasks to support the daily operation of the Corporate Human Resource office.

 

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

 

This position is located at our Milan Ohio facility.

Responsibilities

  1. Recruits, interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with department managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings
  2. Ensures compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
  3. Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resource programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, leave; performance and talent management
  4. Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and management. Referring complex and or sensitive matters to HR Manager.
  5. Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions
  6. Performs other duties as assigned

This position would have a start date in January 2025. 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience, required
  2. At least 2 years of relevant experience
  3. Ability to travel as necessary (10% or less)

  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with labor laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

  2. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be physically able to write, operate office equipment including computers, calculators, telephones, etc. and effectively communicate with clients, co-workers, and supervisors.

Work is performed in an office environment.

  1. EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES INVOLVED IN WORK TASK

Knowledge and skills using Microsoft Office products is required. 

  1. CRITICALITY OF ATTENDANCE

Regular daily attendance is required to maintain office effectiveness. Occasional overtime and occasional travel may be required.
