The Piping Planner/Scheduler supports the Maintenance Services group for the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering (CMOE) contract at NASA Langley Research Center.
Responsibilities :
Perform the duties of planning and scheduling of all proactive and reactive maintenance for the Pipe Department
Prioritize work activities for Pipe Department
Track all proactive and reactive work orders for the Pipe Department
Procure materials needed in a timely manner for craft task execution
Perform job site visits for evaluation of safety concerns, material requirements, and the planning of work activities
Support the Work Control Center as needed
Compile metrics for weekly schedule meeting and craft compliance
U.S. Citizenship required. Six (6) years of related experience in maintenance field associated with pipe fitting. Additional relevant education and/or experience may be substituted for a portion of the experience. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and written with effective use of visual aids. Should be able to use computer technology for problem analysis and solution.
Essential Functions
Work Environment:
Office environment. (75%) Test facilities and active work site environment - loud noise and potentially hazardous equipment operation. (25%)
Travel between office and various facilities is required (<5%)
Physical Requirements:
Limited time spent on active work sites. Must be physically capable of walking and climbing over rough terrain and working at elevated heights and confined spaces. Work sites are commonly areas of high noise levels due to facility operations. (25%) Appropriate PPE and training will be provided for all conditions.
Must be able to walk, stand, bend, twist and sit for extended periods as well as climb, crawl, and lift up to 35 lbs.

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, copier, etc.) (20%)
Computer Software - Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Microsoft Project (65%)

Knowledge of IBM Maximo is preferred
