This is a temporary (surge work) position located at the NASA White Sands Test Facility location in Las Cruces, NM.

Must be able to apply working technical knowledge to perform simple or routine electronic or electrical tasks in working on Class 1 (Flight) Articles. Must be able to operate fabricate, checkout, maintain, adjust, troubleshoot or modify data acquisition and control systems or other electronic systems that are associated with the testing or repair of Flight Articles. Must be able to follow detailed procedures and instructions in the performance of these duties. Must be able to perform these duties with limited supervision or limited technical guidance. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as electronic systems schematics, safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions, manufacturer’s manuals and other similar documents. Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. Must be able to adequately perform duties consistent with this classification and with other duties as assigned by management. Performs work and maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe manner. Performs related duties as required.
Must have two (2) years experience or equivalent related civilian or military trade school training. Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (state). Must be able to pass a physical examination as determined by the White Sands Test Facility (WSTF). Within one (1) year, must be able to meet the requirements for qualification, as specified in the White Sands Training Database (WSTD). Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license (state).
