    Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

     

    This position is located on the RTES contract located at Edwards Air Force Base.

    Responsibilities

    Provide facility project advisory and assistance services to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) “Rocket Lab” as a liaison between the Edwards Air Force Base Civil Engineering (CE) organization and the Rocket Lab for planning and associated actions related to facility repair, modification and construction. This includes, but is not limited to, attending facility related meetings with CE and other agencies to represent AFRL facilities requirements, verifying funding availability for all work through coordination with facility managers/branch chiefs and the AFRL finance office. The Facility Project Manager will assist the AFRL Facility Planner in gathering data for strategic facilities planning actions. Duties also include initiating and developing preliminary statements of work for projects, performing pre and post construction site walks and attending preconstruction meetings for projects representing AFRL interests.

    Qualifications

    REQUISITE SKILLS:

    • Experience in facilities systems repair and modification valuable.
    • Time management, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
    • Familiarity with both office and industrial facilities requirements a plus.  
    • Experience with Microsoft Office suite and time/material management software beneficial.
    • A working knowledge of the English language is required. 
    • The candidate shall be able to operate in a team environment, and shall have good interpersonal, reporting and communication skills (written and verbal).

    QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • 3 – 5 years of facility project management (or related) experience.
    • Degree or Certificate in facilities related field desirable.
    • The candidate shall be a US Citizen able to obtain a US security clearance.
