This position is located on the RTES contract located at Edwards Air Force Base.
Provide facility project management advisory and assistance services to the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) Rocket Lab as a liaison between the Edwards Air Force Base Civil Engineering (CE) organization and the Rocket Lab for all planning and actions related to facility repair and construction. This includes, but is not limited to attending facility related meetings with CE and other agencies to represent AFRL facilities requirements, initiating and tracking work order requests and projects for repair and construction of AFRL occupied facilities, verifying funding availability for all facilities actions through coordination with project managers/branch chiefs and the AFRL finance office, and tracking and providing financial data to the finance office for all in-progress and completed facilities work. The Facility Project Manager will assist the AFRL Facility Planner in gathering data for strategic facilities planning actions. Duties also include initiating and developing Statements of Work for construction and repair projects, performing preconstruction and final inspection site walks for projects, attending preconstruction meetings for Corps and SABER Projects representing AFRL interests, and validating demolition plans and associated projects.
