    The Test Facilities Operation, Maintenance and Engineering (TFOME) team at the NASA Glenn Research Center providesengineering and technical services in the areas of aeropropulsion and space propulsion and power test facilities. TFOME management is dedicated to excellence in service and to providing outstanding technical opportunities for our employees. We specialize in providing unique products and services to NASA Glenn. We are currently seeking a Software Documentation Specialist/Engineer candidate to join our team that will be providing software documentation activities relating to the complete documentation of a new lab wide data acquisition system as part of the TFOME team at the NASA Glenn Research Center.

    Responsibilities

    • The documentation of a new lab wide custom data acquisition system, nicknamed COBRA.
    • Handle user interfaces and command line service management, Application Interfaces (API's) and quick start procedures.
    • Translate software processes (complex subjects) into comprehensive documentation that is easily understod.

    Qualifications

    • B.S. in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
    • 5 to 10 years related experience
    • Outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are a must
    • Knowledge of C++, Linux and Microsoft Windows based operating systems
    • Exposure and experience with software systems typically supporting PLC's, other process systems, complex and varied instrumentation systems and FORTRAN 77 a plus!
