Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

 

This position will support the TOSC contract, located at Kennedy Space Center. This position is contingent upon task award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conceptual thinking
  2. Designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures
  3. Functional and data requirements analysis
  4. Complex system analysis
  5. Documentation preparation for complex systems
  6. Undertakes complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques
  7. Has broad expertise in multiple technical areas which allows for the development of new processes
  8. May be required to supervise less experienced engineers
  9. Requires expertise in a broad range of JSOG responsibilities
  10. Plans and directs activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of standards for industrial processes, materials, and products
  11. Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with a history of effectively interacting with managers at all levels.

 

Specific Skills Needed:

  1. Requires expertise in the field of work specified with preference given to experience within NASA aerospace systems
  2. Experience and expertise in engineering Design and development of aerospace ground systems, subsystems, and/or components is required with the knowledge of engineering processes and activities used to transform functional, performance, interface, and other requirements into a coherent description of system functions, systems design, verification and validation, compliance and test is required
  3. Responsibilities include conceptual thinking; designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures; functional and data requirements analysis; complex system analysis; and documentation preparation for complex systems
  4. Responsible for technical planning, requirements analysis, trade studies, and supportability analyses to convert customer’s requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Qualifications

  1. Must be a U.S. citizen
  2. Must have a Bachelor's degree in related field
  3. Must have at least 14 years of related experience
  4. Prior experience on the KESC contract is preferred
