Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

 

This position will support the TOSC contract, located at Kennedy Space Center. This position is contingent upon task award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  1. Demonstrates extensive proficiency within expertise and ability to train less experienced technicians
  2. As task team leader, oversees work of other technicians
  3. Technician classifications shall be quality related
  4. Assists the quality engineer in support of the appropriate engineering group
  5. Serves as a quality representative to improve awareness, visibility, and communication on quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, and site quality goals and priorities.

 

Specific Skills Needed:

  1. Performs non-routine and complex inspection assignments involving responsibility for planning and conducting a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger and more diverse project.
  2. Selects and adapts plans, techniques, designs, or layouts
  3. Contacts personnel in related activities to resolve problems and coordinate the work
  4. Reviews, analyzes, and integrates the technical work of others
  5. Assists the quality engineer in support of the appropriate engineering group
  6. Serves as a quality representative to improve awareness, visibility, and communication on quality initiatives to support departmental, functional, and site quality goals and priorities.

Qualifications

  1. Must be U.S. citizen
  2. Must have at least 10 years of exerpience directing other technicians
  3. Must have technical training in the applicable area of expertise (Quality)
  4. Prior experience on KESC contract is preferred
