Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

 

This position will support the TOSC contract, located at Kennedy Space Center. This position is contingent upon task award.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

  1. Conceptual thinking
  2. Designing and developing plans, processes, and procedures; functional and data requirements analysis
  3. Complex system analysis
  4. Documentation preparation for complex systems
  5. May be required to supervise less experienced engineers
  6. This position serves as the company's recognized professional authority in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles and processes for assigned areas of responsibility

 

Specific Skills Needed:

  1. Performing analytical functions on the evaluation of structural, mechanical, fluids, and/or electrical designs, systems, and anomalies
  2. Requires Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards, analytical programs such as STAAD structural modeling, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Sinda Fluent, etc.  
  3. Ability to perform complex hand calculations is required.

Qualifications

  1. Must be U.S. citizen
  2. Must have Bachelor's degree in related field
  3. Must have 14 years of related experience
  4. Prior experience on the KESC contract is preferred
