Overview

Sierra Lobo, offers customers a full range of professional and technical capabilities, including Test and Evaluation, Systems Engineering, and Advanced Technologies.  We also develop products and processes related to Cryogenic Fluid and Thermal Management Systems, Densified Propellant Management Systems, and Prototype Extreme Pressure and Temperature Systems.  Our customers include the Department of Defense (DoD), the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, U.S. Army, Missile Defense Agency (MDA), and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

 

This position is located on the AVAL contract at Wright Patterson Air Force Base

Responsibilities

  • Job is for a Preventative Maintenance Program at a Wind Tunnel Facility
  • The candidate will work with a maintenance team that supports operations systems such as pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical equipment per maintenance requirements  
  • Support equipment varies in size from small units such as vacuum pumps, compressors and tool room machinery to large equipment that includes hydraulic systems, motor generators and compressors
  • The individual's duties will also include documentation of maintenance in various data systems
  • Must have strong electrical and mechanical aptitudes and follows specific instructions
  • Have the abilities to troubleshoot and repair any discrepancies on equipment, to include electrical systems
  • Work will be reviewed for accuracy and conformity to the PM program

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to climb ladders, work from elevated platforms, and pass a physical for operating heavy equipment such as a forklift
  • A HS diploma or equivalency is required with appropriate certification
  • previous experience is preferred but not required
